While we should all be looking for the rapture, we need not be overly concerned about when it will occur, but more concerned about our being ready for its occurrence.
We should be like the bride awaiting her bridegroom, packed and ready to leave the security of her father’s house to take up a new life with her groom in the place he has prepared for her. Remember, the groom did not come and remove her from her father’s house; she heard the shofar and ran out to meet him. We should be like the children of Israel packed and ready to leave Egypt at the sound of the shofar!
Our hearts must be free from the world. Like Paul, we must be dead to the world and the world dead to us.
