The end of the World’s System is the beginning of Jesus’ rule on earth; based on where your hope lies it will either be a time of great joy or great sorrow!
Introduction to Chapter 37:
JESUS’ DISCIPLES ASKED HIM MULTIPLE QUESTIONS. “Tell us, when will these things be?” and “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age (Matthew 24:3)?” There is an attempt by Preterists, Historicists, and Futurists to force Jesus’ reply as a single answer to a single question, thereby enabling the intention to make His answer support their predetermined doctrine. This attitude toward Scripture will drive many believers to seek doctrinal answers rather than life answers as their means of preparation for the end. The result will be whether Preterist, Historicist or Futurist that they will still not be adequately equipped for the end. Even if they happen to be doctrinally correct; they are still focusing on the wrong issues for security. “The Kingdom of God is not in word (talk) but in power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20) Winning the argument has never empowered anyone.
