EXTREME ANCIENT RELIGIONS HELD MAN IN BONDAGE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE BUT THEN THE INEVITABLE HAPPENED, PEOPLE BECAME TIRED OF BOWING AND SACRIFICING TO THE GODS. In what would seem to be acts of incredible courage, men began to defy the gods. If harm came to them it would be by the hands of worshippers of the gods who, because of fear of divine judgment or mere cultural addiction, would seek to avoid divine retaliation by killing the “blasphemer.” However, in the absence of the action of religious zealots nothing harmful happened to the violators; Atheism was free to bloom.

Contrary to corrupt religious doctrine there is much accepted dogma the Bible doesn’t say. It is this false doctrine that is playing a role in the great falling away. Today there are more people converting to Islam than to faith in Jesus. Many of those converting are people who grew up in nominal churches that twist God’s Word. For example, the guilt you feel in response to violating God’s standards is not the Holy Spirit making you feel guilty; it is your own conscience that recognizes the violation. When we identify God as our source of pain and sin as our source of pleasure it is only a matter of time until we find ourselves running from God and toward sin.
Another popular Luciferian concept is that God puts a person in pain and suffering as a way to force him to repent. God doesn’t draw you to Himself through pain and suffering. The Bible says just the opposite: it is the kindness (goodness) of God that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4). Suffering is not the means whereby we learn to escape temptation. We escape the corruption in the world through the promises of God. Temptations exist because we have desires intermingled with unbelief. Every temptation begins with a natural God-given desire. We may corrupt and twist it into something defiled but no desire is evil within itself. When we do not believe there is a godly way to fulfil our desires and be happy we seek other means.
God wants us to be happy and fulfilled. He created us. He knows what will truly destroy us and what will bring us life. His commands are divine prescriptions for life at its best. Jesus delivered us from all the curses of the law. He qualified us for all the promises God ever made to anyone. Those who know the loving character of God and the faithfulness of His promises never resort to looking beyond the bounds of His Word for fulfillment.
God is good and only good. In any area where you doubt God’s goodness you are vulnerable to a trap. Establish your heart and mind in the love of God expressed through the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and very specifically in the fact that He delivered you from the wrath of God.
It is essential that as the days become darker we do not blame God for what is coming on the world. It is the tendency of man to make a mess of life, family, nation and the world and then blame God. “People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord” (Proverbs 19:3, NLT). We must accept the world is where it is because man chose his own logic over the truth of God’s Word. But even though mankind caused the problem God will never abandon anyone who calls out to Him with a true heart, trusting His Word.
